My role is to make sure that more young people play boccia and especially those with severe
physical impairment who are unable to take part in very few or no other sports.
I will be organizing competitions and leagues and supporting Clubs, coaches and referees,
including young officials, to enable more young people to play boccia.
To make sure my work is successful I need you to contact me to let me know what boccia you are
playing at this time, at School, in Community Clubs, or School Clubs or in a League or just with some friends.
Also I would like to know what you would like for the future, more competitions? or does your
club/group needs coaches, referees etc? Also if you have any interesting boccia stories or suggestions please let
me know. You may contact me with your ideas or questions by email at

The nine Regional Boccia Centres that have been set up have organized Regional Boccia
competitions for Under 19s who have
physical disabilities and teams were invited from across their region.
The winning team from each region competed at The Lord's Taverners Under 19s National
Team Boccia Championships which took place in February at Nottingham University (see
photo gallery).
Young people trained as officials were in charge on the day in order to complete
their Young Officials Award. Two Young Officials received their GOLD AWARD on the day.
A Boccia Sports Pack has been produced to help young people or teachers, coaches get started with
the fabulous sport of BOCCIA.
Please contact me if you would be interested in receiving a Sports Pack and I can send one
out to you.
