Leaha – My Story
Leaha Dixon has been involved with Cerebral Palsy Sport events for over eight years.
She has always enjoyed being active so joined her local athletics club Doncaster Athletics Club after trying lots of different sports like dancing, swimming and Horse riding.
Leaha takes part in many Cerebral Palsy Sport Athletics events and competes in the 100m, 200m and 400m. She won the Colin Rains Award in 2014 and was selected for commitment and inspirational endeavour.
She would recommend taking part in Cerebral Palsy Sports events to those who don’t currently do I because “I enjoy the sport, the people I have meet who have become good friends and this has also boosted my confidence”.
Her most memorable moment whilst taking part in Cerebral Palsy Sport events was receiving three awards and meeting Paralympian’s.
Leaha enjoys Cerebral Palsy Sport events as “although it’s competitive everybody cheers each other on, making it fun to be there”.
