Matthew Humphreys – RaceRunning
Matthew Humphreys is 18 years old and is one of England’s top RaceRunners. Since becoming involved with Cerebral Palsy Sport, Matthew’s confidence has grown and he now gives talks and motivational speeches, the first of which was the opening speech at Cerebral Palsy Sport’s National Disability Sports Conference in December 2015.
On being asked to be a Cerebral Palsy Sport Young Ambassador Matthew said:
“I’m so proud to be asked to be a young ambassador for CP Sports. I started attending CP sports athletic days 4 years ago when I was participating at seated club throw. I saw another athlete on a Racerunner and I was hooked.
Since then I have made amazing friends; participated in the CPISRA world games; been nominated to represent CP Sport doing the BBC Children n Need rickshaw challenge. Basically my life has changed incredibly for the better. Thank you CP Sport for the opportunities, I now want to help others achieve their best.”
Cerebral Palsy Sport are incredibly proud of our new Young Ambassadors and look forward to working with them to encourage and inspire many others to start their journey to reach their sporting potential.
