Over the past year CP Sport has done a considerable amount of work developing
grass roots football. Football days have been held for players from 9 years upwards which have
included skills and small sided games. Coaching has been delivered by qualified coaches and
efforts have been made to link players into local clubs so they can play more regularly. CP Sport
plans to hold regular football days for all ages and all abilities.
The FA
manages the England CP Team and delivers their training programme.
Recently the team took part in the European Championships in Ireland and finished in 5th place.
CP Football teams currently operate in various venues in the country.

Many league football clubs have a pan disability team and hopefully there will
soon be enough people with cerebral palsy in the teams to make a separate cp team.

In the near future a regional league will be formed so teams for people with
cerebral palsy can play each other regularly.
