Clough Taylor People's Run (Sun 10th March 2013)
Students from the University of Nottingham ran the Clough Taylor People's Run in aid of Cerebral Palsy Sport on Sunday 10th March 2013. Members of the university's Raising and Giving (RAG) society Karnival took part. The society raised £1.6m for various charities in 2012.
The 10km run or walk around Donington Park is named in honour of the legendary managerial duo of Brian Clough and Peter Taylor who famously led Nottingham Forest to two European Cups.
Joe Caunce, of Karnival, said: "The run was a real challenge but it was a really inspiring event and completing it gave me a great sense of achievement.” "We want to raise money for CP Sport because they really do change the lives of disabled children for the better."
Marianne Burchell, from CP Sport, added: "We are delighted to be an official charity of the Clough Taylor People's Run and would like to thank the students. It is fantastic how they are supporting the community."
