June 2006
On Sunday 4th June 2006, Ann and Ian McLean, set off on a fundraising challenge for
CP Sport.
They cycled from their home in Stratford-upon-Avon to CP Sport's Nottingham Office and raised a massive
£1350 in sponsorship for the charity.
Ian and Ann took the scenic route along 120 miles of the National Cycle Route and are grateful to
Sustrans, the organisation who have created this network. They would also like to thank their old friends of more than
30 years, John and Carole Mayes, who provided logistical support throughout the journey.
Ian and Ann would like to thank everyone who sponsored them including Coventry University Charities
Group who provided £500 matched funding.
Ian and Ann had a great time on their bike ride and saw beautiful areas of the country that
they had never seen before.

Why not take inspiration from this story and organise your own bike ride in aid of Cerebral
Palsy Sport. It could be anything from a short ride with family and friends to taking on a
Charity Challenge for CP Sport.
