Tom Halliday, CP Sport member and volunteer Fundraiser
What is your involvement with C P Sport?
I mainly play boccia and have gone to the regional
championships for the past few years. Last year I qualified for the Nationals in Sheffield.
I've also been to lots of "fun days" and tried loads of different sports. Recently, along with Mum and Dad,
I have been helping raise funds by doing things like supermarket collections.
What do you enjoy about fundraising for C P Sport?
I think it is a good way to say thank you for all the help and support they have given me
over the years with whichever sports I have wanted to have a go at. When we do supermarket
collections I think it really helps to have a
member of C P Sport there as people can talk to us and get to know that their money is going to help people
like me to have sporting
opportunities. Oh and I usually manage to mug Mum and Dad into a bacon butty!
What does C P Sport mean to you?
It means a lot to me. I think it is a very
worthwhile charity and helps lots of people like me participate in all sorts of different sports.
Like all charities, we need more helpers and fundraisers so please join in!
