Thank you to all members of this year's CP Sport Erewash Triathlon team who completed a 400m swim,
a 10 mile bike ride and a 5km run to raise much needed funds for our range of sports activities for children with
cerebral palsy. A massive thank you also goes out to our dedicated volunteers who arrived bright-eyed and bushy tailed
at 6am on a Sunday morning to make sure all participants had a safe and enjoyable event. Thank you also to Ian Tinto
and his team at Erewash Borough Council who chose CP Sport to be the official charity for this event for another year.
All of us at CP Sport would like to say thank and congratulate all CP Sport triathletes, many of
whom completed your first triathlon at this event - what a challenge and what an achievement. We were very excited
to welcome our first ever junior triathletes to the team, as this year saw the introduction of the Junior triathlon
aimed at 8 to 14 year olds who wouldn't normally get the chance to take part in a multi-sports event of this kind. As if
the challenge wasn't enough, some of our more seasoned male triathletes chose to make things a little more interesting
by wearing swimming costumes, bikinis and a full business suit on their way around the course! You can see photos of
our amazing supporters in our Erewash Triathlon photo gallery.

A huge thank you to all of our
Great North Swimmers who braved the cold, wet conditions at Lake Windermere on
18th & 19th June (and that was before they even started their swims!). Many of our swimmers had
been training for the swim last September which was cancelled due to the presence of blue/green algae in the water so it's
been a tough challenge for them to keep training until June. Despite these setbacks, our CP Sport swimmers had some brilliant
performances, fantastic finish times and raised lots of money in the process. So a huge well done to everyone who undertook
this enormous challenge in support of CP Sport.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the brilliant
Great Nottinghamshire Bike Ride on Sunday 19th June 2011
and thank you to those of you who chose to support CP Sport and the 3 official charities by raising sponsorship for us.
It was a smashing day, with over 4000 riders taking part in the 72, 58 and 19 mile rides, along with the 5K Family Challenge.
Thanks also go out to our team of wonderful volunteers who worked hard to make sure riders were
kept fed and watered with hot bacon rolls, drinks and snacks at the CP Sport feed station at the Unicorn Hotel in
Gunthorpe, who helped to keep the riders safe and on the right track around Gunthorpe, Stoke Bardolph and Colwick
Country Park, who packed goody bags and who greeted them as they crossed the finish line at the National Water Sports
Centre. Not only was it an early start for many of them, but it was also Fathers' Day so special thanks for helping on
this day.
Thank you to the Unicorn Hotel, Gunthorpe, Diane's Cabin, Beeston, Starbucks and Food Partners,
Clumber Street Nottingham, Pret-a-Manger, Nottingham, Sainsbury's, Beeston, C&K Pegg, and Boots who all contributed
to the success of the event by providing discounts and/or donating items for goody bags, volunteer lunches, the feed
station and promotional material.
Thanks also to our Patron, Chris Read, Captain of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Team, for taking
time out from his busy schedule to officially start the 19 mile and 5K Family Challenge Rides and help out at the goody
bag pack.
Thanks also to our supporters, Den, Chris and Mark Bell and Mark Dunning, who helped out promoting
the event by sharing their stories with the local press.

Lincoln 10K, Buggy Push and Schools Races 2011 - Thank you to all our dedicated
CP Sport Lincoln 10K 2011 runners and volunteers. Over 60 runners joined the CP Sport team to make it our best yet,
with the biggest CP running team we've ever had, including our first Primary and Secondary School Race runners.
Many runners took our 10:10:10 Challenge - celebrate our 10th birthday by raising at least £10 in a 10K, with most
runners raising much more. Sponsorship money is still coming in but we hope to raise at least £8000 this year. Thank you
also to our wonderful volunteers who brilliantly handed over well-earned goody bags to runners as they crossed the line.
The atmosphere of the event was electric, as runners took in the historic sites of Lincoln, through streets lined with
cheering crowds and then crossing the finish line in the beautiful grounds of Lincoln Castle.
It certainly lived up to it's award of Britain's best 10K. It certainly looks to have been a winner for CP Sport!

Rushcliffe 10K and Fun Run 2011 - This year's Rushcliffe 10k and Fun Run
saw a record turn out with places for the 10k selling out well in advance. The CP Sport running team was our largest
ever with over 40 runners donning a CP Sport running top to run and raise money for the charity. We were delighted
that our patron Chris Read and his colleagues at Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club also took part to support us.
We felt extremely proud to see so many of our 'red tops' on the day and would like to thank all our runners for
their efforts running and fundraising for CP Sport. Huge thanks also to all our group of volunteers who marshalled
the course, cheered the runners on their way and provided much needed refreshment. The money is still rolling in
from this event but we hope to raise over £3,000 from the day.

The Great North Swim 2010 - Unfortunately the 2010 Great North Swim
was cancelled at the last minute due to the presence of blue green algae in the water. This was extremely
disappointing for everyone involved especially our 42 CP Sport swimmers who have spent months training
for the event. However, many of these swimmers went on to complete other outdoor swims or organised their
own to prevent CP Sport missing out on their pledged sponsorship money. To date our swimmers have raised over £4,000.
We are extremely lucky to have a group of such dedicated supporters and appreciate the enormous efforts
that people have gone to on our behalf - thank you!
Are you interested in entering this year's Great North Swim in Lake Windermere, Cumbria?
