Cerebral Palsy Sport are delighted to announce funding received from the Big Lottery for a new project; LEADing the way.
The funding received will help to design and develop learning resources for disability sports Boccia and the adapted Table Tennis game Poly Bat.
Once created the resources will then be launched at Sport festivals in Nottingham, Manchester and Lincolnshire where we will be inviting anyone who is interested in developing their skills and leading disabilities sports to come along and find out more about the resources and further opportunities.
The aim of the project is to ensure that people with a disability and those without have better access to training and development opportunities that will improve their life skills and help them on the way to employment. The project is about bringing together those within the community that have a disability and previously may have struggled to take part in training and development opportunities. This will not only give each individual the feeling of improved confidence and belonging to their community put also offers others who have faced similar challenges with a positive role model.
Cerebral Palsy Sport would like to thank the Big Lottery for the continued support of community projects.
