Kevin Stewart, midfielder for Liverpool Football Club set aside some time in the summer off-season to raise money for Cerebral Palsy Sport. A cause close to his heart through a friend’s personal experience.
Kevin and his friend had previously raised money through taking part in various marathons and football matches but this year Kevin wanted to go even bigger and create their own event.
With a little help from his Liverpool teammates, including Joe Gomez and Rhian Brewster, Kevin organised a fantastic day packed full of activity at the Lee Valley Stadium in London on 11th June 2017 .
This included a 5k run, soccer activity and an auction with some incredible prizes including signed football boots. There was even had a magician on hand to entertain, Zamaan. Kevin didn’t hold back in the 5k, crossing the finishing line first!
Cerebral Palsy Sport Chief Executive Ali Talbot and son Thomas Talbot, supported the event, and thanked everyone who helped make the event happen and raise funds for Cerebral Palsy Sport, including Kevin Stewart, Liverpool Football Club, Puma and BaseKult.
