Cerebral Palsy Sport wants to enable young children with cerebral palsy to discover the joys of adapted and inclusive sports through a new sport of RaceRunning. RaceRunning is running on an adapted three wheeled trike with no pedals. We want children to have fun, build self-confidence, independence and self esteem by meeting other children with a disability.
- To increase access to sporting opportunities for children with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities to try sport for the very first time and to enable them to participate in a new fun sport of RaceRunning.
- To enable young children with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities to build their confidence, self-esteem, improve their physical and mental health as well as enabling them to make friends and have fun in a safe and accessible environment.
- To enable families and siblings to also enjoy this wonderful inclusive activity through family focused activity days. These days would enable families to build networks, access advice and support as well as taking part in an inclusive family activity
How we will achieve our goals
The award would enable to us reach more children with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities. So often a child with a disability is isolated and not have many friends. Where the money will go
