This year’s training day was held at Harvey Hadden Sports Village on World CP Day. To mark the occasion, participants, staff and volunteers were asked to wear something green.
The day was successful with 15 athletes and their parents/carers enjoying the day. We had a seminar at the start by a sports psychologist from Sheffield Hallam University and More Rehab. A really big thank you to Zeynep Atha who delivered a really inspiring talk about positivity and a healthy mind-set during training and competitions. If anyone would like more details of Zeynep’s work and/or sport psychology, please contact CP Sport.
CP Sport would like to offer our gratitude and appreciation to the volunteers that tirelessly give up their time at our events to make these days happen. Without their support, it simply wouldn’t be possible.
Finally, thank you to the athletes and swimmers that came along to the day and make the events a joy to deliver.
9 Athletes attended the training session which included a mix of RaceRunners, sprinters and also a throws athlete. Athletes had access to the indoor track for the training session as well as being able to use gym equipment for strength and conditioning work.
Our Sporting Ambassador Graeme Ballard, was on hand to offer advice and support to the athletes during the session which everyone found very motivational. Thank you for coming to take part in the training day and it was good to see everyone.
