The Cerebral Palsy Sport National Athletic Championships took place on Saturday 1st September 2018. This year’s WPA sanctioned Nationals was held at Doncaster Athletics track having moved from Nottingham in previous years.
Cerebral Palsy Sport welcomed a range of Athletes to Doncaster from guest Athletes competing in their first Nationals, to Team England Members and Paralympians, which created a real excitement at the event.
The event consisted of a full programme of Track and Field events including Ambulant and RaceRunning on the track and Ambulant and Seated field events. A total of 43 Athletes registered for the event.
The first of the medals ceremonies took place during the lunch break. Medals were presented by Sporting Ambassador Steve Judge, who kindly agreed to come along and present medals and talk with athletes and their families. Series Award winners we also presented by Steve Judge.

Following the afternoon events Cerebral Palsy Sport Board member, Safia Iman presented the afternoon medals. Over the course of the day a total of 65 medals were presented to the athletes (G 47, S 16, B 2)
A big thank must go to all the officials and volunteers supporting the event and also to Doncaster Athletics Club who welcomed us their facility and were fantastic at ensuring we had everything we needed set up for when we arrived.
