Team CP England set for World Games

The Team CP England training day took place on the 30th May at Moulton College in Northampton. The purpose of the day was to get the team together before heading out to Spain in the summer. 43 members of Team CP England supported by their families and supporters attended the training day where they received information on international classification and Anti-doping. The day was supported by fantastic volunteers and coaches who will also be heading Spain.

We had 24 RaceRunning, Throwing and Track athletes attend the day, who made use of the new track facilities and club house at Moulten College. The Training day was well supported with experienced coaches and parents who supported the athletes through the training sessions.

We had 16 swimmers attend, who completed two pool sessions. One in the morning for an hour and a shorter 30 minute session in the afternoon.

We welcomed Richard Heselton from Harrogate Swimming Club who led the training sessions. His ideas were creative and enjoyable for all involved. A big thank you to Richard for delivering the swimming.

It was a great atmosphere throughout and we are delighted we got a chance to meet and engage with the amazing athletes that will be taking to San Cugat in August.

WGTD-300518-40700Thank you to the volunteers that gave up their time to come and help with the training day. It was a great opportunity for athletes to meet the volunteers coming with us to the World Games!

Well done to all the athletes and thank you to everyone involved!
