CP Athletics Series Kicks Off in Kingston

The 2018 Cerebral Palsy Athletic Series kicked off on Saturday 7th April with our first event of the series at Kingston Athletics Club. For this event Cerebral Palsy Sport partnered with Kingston Athletics Club and Polytechnic Harriers as well as Surrey County Athletic Association.

26 of the 96 of the athletes that took part in the event were members of CP Sport, which was really pleasing.

Athletes competed in various field and track events over the weekend, which included seated throws taking place on Sunday 8th April.

For the first time in the events history, RaceRunning was included in the programme and it drew a lot of interest from the spectators who were fantastic at cheering on the athletes.

We also delivered a RaceRunning taster session on the track to provide people the opportunity to have a taster of  RaceRunning.
