International Volunteer Day (IVD), is an opportunity to promote volunteering globally.
This year, on 5th December 2019, the UN Volunteers are marking #IVD2019 with the theme “Volunteer for an inclusive future“, focusing on the pursuit of equality – including inclusion – through volunteerism.
Volunteering provides opportunities for people, particularly those often excluded, to concretely impact their own lives and play a constructive role in their communities by volunteering their time and skills. Through volunteerism, communities around the world often experience strengthened solidarity and inclusion.
Volunteering is essential to allow us to do what we do at Cerebral Palsy Sport and can cover many different activities from being a sporting official to a trustee on the board, from educating to fundraising and we want volunteering for Cerebral Palsy Sport to be a rewarding and worthwhile experience and we are committed to supporting you throughout your time with us.
