Dear Dennis,
After
eating far too many mince pies this festive season, it's time to start
thinking about your New Years Resolutions. Why not try setting yourself a
challenge this year. We have a number of great events to inspire you in
2012...
|
A great way to kick start your New Year fitness regime is with CP Sport's first charity Zumbathon in Nottingham.
The
music will be blaring and the disco lights will be flashing - so join
us for three hours of non-stop Zumba partying.
The
Latin inspired workout is great fun and it doesn't matter if you have
done classes before or if you are a complete beginner, you will soon
pick up the steps.
Grab your friends and bring them along. Click here for more details and tickets.

6 weeks to change your life!
Activity 4 Charity
is a brand new way to increase your physical activity and fitness
levels - at the same time as raising funds to help children and adults
with cerebral palsy to do the same.
The
first challenge of 2012 "Harness the Inspiration of 2012" starts on 30
January and is a 6 week programme where you choose to walk, run or cycle
10,000 steps a day (that's 200 miles), when and where it suits you,
making it perfect for those of us who don't fancy an endurance event and
have lots of demands on our hectic lives.
If
you prefer to Zumba, row, do aerobics, play tennis or even do the
garden or the cleaning, that's fine because you get a clever USB
pedometer that translates any physical activity into steps. It is
suitable for all abilities, and if you're competitive, it is a great
team activity for family, friends or work colleagues.
To find out more about how you can get 2012 off to a healthy start, please visit Activity 4 Charity or contact jmathieson@cpsport.org.

You did it!
Thank you to everyone who donated to the CP Sport Christmas Appeal 2011. Your outstanding generosity resulted in £11,428 being donated via the Big Give Christmas Challenge in 3 days!
As a small, independent charity, we rarely received such a large amount in one go, so it was an overwhelming success.
Your
kindness means that hundreds of children and adults with cerebral palsy
will have the opportunity to try new sports, develop muscle strength
and control, build their confidence and independence, and make
friendships that will last a lifetime by taking part in our specialist
athletics events throughout 2012.
THANK YOU!

Junior Development Programme
Being
involved in sport plays an important role in helping children and young
people with cerebral palsy lead healthier, happier and more independent
lives. Our Junior Development Programme, particularly Multi Sport
Development Days - are where we first touch the lives of children with
physical disabilities and their families and where they see for the
first time the positive life-changing differences sport can offer.
Our
events calendar is packed full of opportunities for children and young
people to try swimming, athletics or a range of different sports at
Multi Sport Development Days. For more information click here.

Char-IT
Thanks very much to Nick Gall and Mike Donoghue at Economit
who have chosen CP Sport as the nominated charity for their IT
Consultancy. This means they will sponsor and promote CP Sport's
activities and events and also help us with our IT strategy. As
huge sports fans, Mike and Nick are even talking about organising their
own "Super Challenge" for CP Sport!
Joint
Managing Director Mike says "Sport is something that Nick and I are
passionate about and CP Sport are doing an incredible job in helping
people with Cerebral Palsy to get participating and involved in sport
which we all know is an activity that boosts health and self confidence
immensely."
Everyone here at CP Sport is looking forward to working with Mike and Nick throughout 2012 and beyond.
