Cerebral Palsy Sport sees engagement with our members as a vital role.
Awareness, interest and opportunities in disability sport have seen a huge increase over recent years, and the clear social and health benefits are attracting new enquiries from interested participants, families, coaches and sport providers. Cerebral Palsy Sport already offer a number of introductory adapted sport events such as Frame Football and Table Cricket and run competitions nationally helping hundreds of children and adults with Cerebral Palsy experience life changing benefits. Additionally, Cerebral Palsy Sport works closely with a range of partners including; county sport partnerships, sports governing bodies and other organisations to help meet the demands for access to sport.
We provide information and opportunities for those who would like to get involved in sport at any level, and also support sport providers to be able to accommodate and understand the needs of people with cerebral palsy and physical disabilities.
In 2019, Cerebral Palsy Sport introduced CP Engage – this programme is a voice panel bringing together those who can assist Cerebral Palsy Sport to achieve its vision, mission and aims though their own personal experiences for example as a coach, or as someone with cp themselves.
