Cerebral Palsy Sport is delighted to have secured three years of BBC Children in Need funding for our CPCan project and our sincere thanks go to BBC children in Need to supporting our charity’s project.

The project which will run from September 2018 to August 2021 seeks to make a fundamental difference to the lives of children and young people with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities by enabling them to access sporting opportunities.

The project focuses on making three fundamental differences to the lives of children and young people with cerebral palsy. These differences are:

  • to increase and improve the physical wellbeing of children and young people with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities by enabling participation in inclusive and adapted sport – often for the first time ever, starting their sporting journey.
  • to improve the essential  personal skills of children and young people with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities.
  • to improve the  self- confidence of children and young people with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities by providing opportunities that enable children to participate within sport and adapted inclusive activities
