Bowls

Bowls has always been part of Cerebral Palsy Sport and we have seen a lot of changes in the sport over the years. Cerebral palsy bowlers are welcomed into mainstream clubs, taking part in pan-disability or even mainstream competitions.

We are now looking to drive the sport further by developing a new programme of activities for Cerebral Palsy Sport members, with the aim of introducing ‘fresh blood’ to the sport.

Working in partnership with the National Governing Bodies, bowls clubs and County Sports Partnerships across the country Cerebral Palsy Sport are looking to help increase the number of bowlers with cerebral palsy and physical disabilities.

Cerebral Palsy Sport gives young people and adults the opportunity to try the sport for the first time or develop their skills as an additional playing opportunity. We also look to help coaches, volunteers and carers by offering advice and training on how to work with bowlers with cerebral palsy.

This is done through our BowlStart taster days and our SportStart days. For more information, please email: info@cpsport.org
