The National Ice Centre in Nottingham, offers ice skating opportunities for people with disabilities and their families.
Further to the successful Disabled Access Day held on Saturday 12 March 2016 disabled inclusion skaters are now able to access any of the public sessions.
The usual admission charges will apply and if you require a carer to accompany you there is no additional charge. You may be asked for proof of eligibility when purchasing a public skating ticket.
In January 2015, the Ice Centre introduced the Access Card. The card has been designed by CredAbility to easily and discreetly let businesses know the specific needs of disabled visitors. It translates a person’s disability / impairment into symbols which highlight the barriers they face and the reasonable adjustments they might need. Further information can be found on their site http://www.accesscard.org.uk/
If you would like to bring a disabled group of 15 or more the Ice Centre may be able to offer a sectioned off area of ice or a quote for exclusive hire, subject to availability, if booked in advance.
For details of all public sessions & admission prices please see website www.national-ice-centre.com
The Ice Centre can also offer a group rate of £4.50 per skater including skate hire if booked in advance with a minimum number of 10. This can be booked at the Box Office on 0843 373 3000.
