SportStart days are designed to give children with cerebral palsy – and other physical disabilities – a fun and enjoyable sporting experience to encourage them to carry on taking part in sport.
These inspiring inclusive days are for children and young people allowing them to enjoy playing sport with others who have a similar impairment. The participants have the opportunity to try a range of sports either as a first step or develop their skills.
During SportStart days experienced coaches introduce the participants to a variety of adapted and disability sports appropriate to their age and ability. We also encourage parents, teachers and coaches to support the participants and learn about the different sports available.
We also aim to provide information about clubs and follow on sessions so that the participants can continue to enjoying playing sport and developing their skills in their own time.
