Making a Gift in Your Will
Remember us in your Will
Leaving a gift in your Will is a great way to continue your support for Cerebral Palsy Sport, and enhance the lives of people with cerebral palsy long into the future.
Your legacy will enable us to continue supporting the 4,000 people with cerebral palsy that we help every year.
Having an up-to-date Will is important to ensure that your inheritance goes to the people and causes that matter to you the most. After making the appropriate provisions for your loved ones in your Will, we hope you will consider leaving a gift for Cerebral Palsy Sport, so that you can be there for people with cerebral palsy in the future.
A gift in your Will is free of inheritance tax and if you leave 10% or more of your net estate, the inheritance tax on the rest of your estate can be reduced from 40% to 36%.
Making or Updating a Will
Making or updating a Will has never been easier, but there are different ways to go about it.
If you already have a Will and would like to amend it to leave a gift for Cerebral Palsy Sport, you can fill in a Codicil form as a supplement to your Will. A template Codicil form is provided below:
We recommend using a solicitor to help and advise you further with this. More information can be found at https://www.gov.uk/make-will/updating-your-will.
If you don’t have a Will you can either choose to write a Will yourself, or get help from solicitor or a Will writing service. We recommend using a solicitor or Will writing service, especially if your circumstances aren’t straightforward.
Either way, it’s important to make it clear in your Will that you would like to leave a legacy gift for us. You must include our registered charity number, full name and address:
