Hold a Cerebral Palsy Sports Day

Sports days are lots of fun. So why not get your school or youth group involved?

Hold your sports day as usual and include a Cerebral Palsy Sport fundraising element to raise funds for children and young people with cerebral palsy.

The whole school could get involved, a year group, or a class – you could adapt it to whatever you want!

Every penny that you raise will help us to provide new opportunities for physically disabled young people to play sport. Here are a few ideas to help you out!

Every penny that you raise will help us to provide new opportunities for physically disabled young people to play sport. Here are a few ideas to help you out!

  • Shoot some hoops with your other hand? You could get sponsored per shot on target or for how many you could get in a set time.
  • Have a sponsored relay race – with each person doing a different activity?
  • Organise a penalty shootout. Put a teacher in goal and charge a small fee per penalty.
  • Sponsored relay marathon – see how far the whole school could run.
  • It would be great if you could hold a fundraising multi sports day getting people in your school to set themselves personal challenges and try to beat them.

There are so many different options to raise money – just remember that every penny really counts!

Think about different ways to make money

  • Why not have a stall selling drinks?
  • Ask parents to make a donation to come to watch the sporting events.
