Sarah – My Fundraising Story

Sarah is in training to run the London Marathon as part of our 2018 Team CP Sport London Marathon Runners  and we are delighted that she has chosen Cerebral Palsy Sport to support with her marathon challenge. Here is her story:

“I have always wanted to run the London Marathon. After taking part in the Brighton Marathon in 2015 and various half marathons along the way I thought this was the year to take on the London challenge.

My niece was born with Cerebral Palsy, so it means a lot to me to run for Cerebral Palsy Sport. I have always taken part in sports from a young age, I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to take part in sports and reach their potential. The work Cerebral Palsy Sport do for people living with physical disabilities is amazing and I would like to raise as much as I can so this can continue.

My training is going well at the moment and I am enjoying it. Getting up at 5am in the cold and rain to go running before work is a struggle sometimes, but it is fine once you get going and remember why you’re doing it.
