Sue

Sue has been a volunteer with Cerebral Palsy Sport for over 20 years. She got involved through her daughter, Sarah, who has cerebral palsy.  Sue’s volunteering has covered many roles over the years. From being an active Board Member, through to giving her time one day a week in our offices to help with administrative tasks. She has stuffed many an envelope in her time! She has enjoyed making many friends over the years and helping those who can’t always help themselves.

Her most memorable moments have been to see young athletes compete for the first time and then go on to represent their country at Paralympics or CPISRA World Championships and break World Records. She told us “This has been a very worthwhile time of my life and I have made many friends. I have watched the charity grow and go from strength to strength since it became independent from Scope. It has always been a family orientated organisation and long may it continue to nurture young people with cerebral palsy to find something they are good at. This gives them confidence to go out into the world and become someone in their own right and not just someone who has cerebral palsy.”

Thank you Sue for the time you devoted to the charity!
