Zumba Teacher Maura Frith organised a charity Zumbathon in aid of Cerebral Palsy Sport to celebrate her selection as a Paralympic Torchbearer.
The Zumbathon took place on Friday 24th August at The Catholic Guild Hall in Cheadle, Staffordshire. 90 people flocked into the hall after purchasing a ticket for the special event. The event raised a fantastic £450!
Maura, one of the select few chosen to be a torchbearer carrying the Paralympic Flame in the 24-hour Relay from Stoke Mandeville to London on the 29th August said ‘I would like to say a massive thank you to CP Sport for nominating me and giving me this fantastic opportunity. CP Sport is my nominated charity because I love sport and this charity gives people with cerebral palsy the opportunity to get involved in sports and has resulted in many world record holders and Paralympians, totally inspiration.’
