Cerebral Plasy Sport launched its first community Cerebral Palsy (CP) Football Kickstart programme on Sunday 6th October 2013 in Coventry. This event was hosted in partnership with Coundon Court Football Club and Birmingham County FA and kindly funded by Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire county Sports Partnership.
Following on from this highly successful "Kick Start” event, Coundon Court Football Club are proud to announce the launch of its CP Community Football Scheme.
The sessions will provide opportunities for any people with cerebral palsy aged between 5 and 16-years of age who want to develop their skill, knowledge and performance in football. We are able to facilitate players of all abilities and can cater for children who may use crutches, canes or walkers. So what are you waiting for simply turn up, pay your pound and let's play!
CP Sport will be supporting the club initially through training and support and the club would also like to take this opportunity to ask for help from parents and volunteers in this latest Coundon Court FC Initiative.
The club will help and support anyone who wants to get involved and can even arrange specific disability coaching courses as we try to sustain, and indeed grow regular football provision for not only CP players, but possibly other players with physical disabilities long into the future.
