Nottingham Mini Games A Great Success!

CP Sport held a Mini Games yesterday at Harvey Hadden, with six schools taking part. Angerming, High Furlong, Ivy House , Oakfield, Portland and Stanton Vale.

Before the competition could begin we held an opening ceremony which was attended by Councillor Leon Unczur – the Lord Mayor.

The first activity of the day were Mini Stations with a variety of activities lead by Doug Williamson a specialist in adapted sports for individuals with disabilities. After some swift refreshments the students split up into areas of particular interest and competed in Boccia, Table Cricket and Polybat.

In the afternoon all of the schools competed in adapted athletics activities.

There was a fantastic atmosphere and the children really embraced the ‘Paralympic Spirit’.
