Cerebral Palsy Sport are delivering a Junior SportStart day at SportCity Regional Athletics Arena in partnership with Lancastrian Outreach and Inclusion Service (LOIS)
We are really privileged to have 3 of our Sporting Ambassadors with us today at our SportStart event in Manchester. Paralympians Matthew Walker MBE, Graeme Ballard and Leon Taylor are joining the event to help to inspire children and young people with a range of disabilities to take part and have fun.
These inspiring inclusive days are for children aged five upwards and allow them to enjoy playing sport with others who have a similar impairment. Our priority is to engage in sport in a fun, relaxed situation. The children have the opportunity to be part of a team and a competitive element is also introduced.
During SportStart Days our experienced coaches introduce children to a variety of adapted sports appropriate to their ability. We also encourage parents, teachers and coaches to join in.
We are also kindly joined by Virgin Media who are supporting the day with their volunteers. Thank you!
Thank you to Leon Taylor, Matthew Walker MBE and Graeme Ballard for helping to inspire our youngsters.#inspiringothers
