We are pleased to announce two RaceRunning taster sessions coming up in April 2017 in the South East of England.
RaceRunning is a still quite a new sport in England and is being developed by Cerebral Palsy Sport. It is for children, young people and adults who cannot functionally run and rely on sports aids for mobility and balance. RaceRunning is on a three wheeled frame where the athlete is supported by a saddle and body plate. The athlete propels against the frame using their feet, and steers using the mobility within their hands and/or arms.
Cerebral Palsy Sport are working with Quest 88 and Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust to put on a RaceRunning Taster at Dartford Harriers Athletics Track on 10th April, during the Easter Holidays. This opportunity is for current or new participants to “have a go”. We will be at the track from 9am-12noon, so please feel free to stay for the whole session or just drop by, whatever suits you. The cost is £5 per participant, and registrations is required. Find out more here.
Cerebral Palsy Sport and Quest 88 are supporting Lewisham Paediatric Physiotherapy team in there ” Local leisure and Sports Taster day”. This event will be promoting participation for children and young people with disabilities in Lewisham including:
> Wheelchair Tennis
