5 athletes with cerebral palsy are preparing to fly out to Denmark to represent England at the CPISRA International Racerunning Camp and 3rd European Championships.
The International Camp and European Open Championships will take place between July 11th to 16th 2016 in Fredriksberg, Copenhagen in Denmark.
Cerebral Palsy Sport is really proud to be supporting these young athletes who all started their RaceRunning through our Sport England funded Get Equipped RaceRunning project.
The athletes representing England are:
Muninder Singh Hayer
Muninder only tried RaceRunning for the first time in February 2016 at one of our RaceRunning taster days and he loved it and he trained ever since. Ellie and Matthew represented England at the Nottingham 2015 CPISRa world Games. This will be RAfi and Thomas’s first international competition.
All the athletes are very excited to be competing overseas and the youngest athlete, Thomas Talbot (12) said:
“I am so proud to be representing my country in Denmark. When I first came to a CP Sport RaceRunning Taster day eighteen months ago, I did not ever dream that it would lead to me representing England. RaceRunning makes me feel so free on the track like I am flying. I’ve also met so many friends. I love it.”
