Cerebral Palsy Sport is working in Partnership with the University of Nottingham to run 3 RaceRunning sessions in Nottingham on Saturday mornings throughout February.
The sessions aim to give people of all ages the opportunity to try RaceRunning for the first time, progress through some basic skills and develop confidence using the RaceRunning frames.
We have had 8 participants attend so far, and with 2 sessions down the last session will take place on Saturday 17th February. There has been a real mix of participants from as young as 3 to 20 year olds trying RaceRunning for the first time, including an established swimmer giving RaceRunning a go!
The University of Nottingham have been a real support providing use of their High Performance Zone indoor athletics track to host these sessions. Quest88 have also been a huge support providing RaceRunning frames and knowledge to ensure everyone who attends are catered for. We would also like to thank Nottingham Trent University Students Union for supporting these sessions.
Physiotherapy and sport rehabilitation students from both the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University have attended the events to learn more about cerebral palsy and develop their learning.
