Volunteering Opportunities

Athletics Series 2020

Following consultation with athletes, families, coaches and officials we have reviewed and revised our Athletics Series for this year. As a result we are now working in partnership with established events and delivering 2 of our own events this year. All events are part of the 2020 Parallel Success Series and we would love you to support us by volunteering at these events and helping CP Sport widen our reach and the opportunities for people with cerebral palsy to get involved in sport.

4 April Surrey Disability Open, Kingston upon Thames

7 June Newham Open & Parallel Success 1 TBC

13 & 14 June BWAA Grand Prix, Stoke Mandeville

4 & 5 July Activity Alliance National Junior Athletics Champs, Coventry

11 July Newham Open and Parallel Success 2 TBC

15 August Cerebral Palsy Sport Series, Doncaster

13 September Cerebral Palsy Sport National Champs, Stoke Mandeville 

If you are willing and able to volunteer this year please get in touch with info@cpsport.org – you will get a t-shirt, lunch and travel expenses and know that you have helped us deliver a great athletics programme.

As a volunteer, you contribute your time and energy to support the to charity achieve our vision, that everyone with a physical disability should be able to access sports of their choice. We are all working towards this vision and it is at the heart of everything we do.

Volunteering at Cerebral Palsy Sport can cover many different activities from being a sporting official to a trustee on the board, from educating to fundraising.  Below are the current volunteering opportunities that are available – we would love it if you could help.

Event Volunteers

We have regular volunteering opportunities supporting our sporting and fundraising events.

Photography Volunteer

We are seeking a photography volunteer to help support the capturing of our events and activities with some experience and skill of taking action based photographs for online and communications purposes.

Administration Volunteer

As well as the one off volunteer roles above we also have a regular volunteer roles available in the Cerebral Palsy Sport office.

We are looking for people that can commit to a regular number of days a month. The role requires supporting with data entry onto our Member’s Database.

Fundraising Volunteers

We are looking for proactive and outgoing people with a good knowledge of their local community to join our team as a Volunteer Collection Box Coordinator.

Collection boxes are a simple way to raise money and awareness for Cerebral Palsy Sport. Our Collection Box Coordinators place and manage the collection boxes in their local communities to help raise vital funds.
